Excellent Source of Iodine USDA Organic Salt Alternative Certified Organic by OCIA Sea Seasonings Dulse Granules bring new life to old recipes and are convenient to use. Sprinkle on eggs, make dulse butter, or add to soups, salads, and smoothies. Sea Seasonings impart umami, the savory and mysterious fifth taste, to any dish. Sea veggies are rich in umami as they naturally contain glutamic acid, used by almost every lifeform to synthesize protein. Dulse Granules are mineral rich but low in sodium; just 28mg per serving. **Q: will this work in a salt grinder?**
A: I'm not sure. Each granule is very tiny and we've found that it goes into solution easily.  In soups or dressings it's just part of the texture of the other ingredients.

**Q: This product has a warning about containing heavy metals.  Wondering if anyone knows more about this type of concern?**
A: This is an increasingly controversial topic when it comes to organic products. Why controversial? Because people don't pay attention! Organic products are affected by soil & water. As long as humanity continues to be careless, we will ALL continue to be exposed to potential carcinogens (eg, heavy metals). Please don't hold producers accountable for individual ignorance.

**Q: How do the dulse granules compare to to dulse flakes?  Are they the same?**
A: I prefer the flakes I don’t read this has garlic

**Q: What is the difference between dulce flakes and granules? How is each processed?**
A: Both forms come from one process.  Whole leaf dulse is milled and shifted into flakes, granules, and powder.  The only difference is the size of the particles.  Flakes are slightly larger than granules.
