It sinks into the top quickly and deeply, and when you rinse it off there are ton of suds. This stuff is seriously concentrated. I used this on a 1 year old black-canvas top, which had been outside the entire year and also had be subjected to a lot of lawn sprinklers. - Our well water contains a lot of lime. I sprayed this on, gave it a light scrub with an horsehair brush, waited maybe five minutes, then hosed it off. Finished with a few gallons of distilled water, and the top looked amazing. I had forgotten just how deep black it was originally. I go over the roof with a lint roller, sticky type, spray the cleaner on a brush or sponge wipe the roof with product, then rinse it off at the wand car wash with only water then proceed to wash my car. I let it thoroughly dry then apply the Chemical Guys UV protector/waterproofer, apply a second coat when dry.
