Which is it? And what is the difference?** A: I believe it's because of all of the herbs they use in the ingredients, they consider it to be herbal medicine for your teeth. It's definitely toothpaste, and I personally highly recommend it. Since discovering this it's the only toothpaste I use. It's fantastic. **Q: Does this help receding gums?** A: HI! I have been using this product for 2 years now and would never use any other. I don't have receding gums so I can't answer your question - I can only suggest that you try it. I also make my own mouthwash. I but 2 oils..1) Peppermint (food grade) and 1) Tea Tree. Get a small water bottle and try 15 drops of each..I use a bit more peppermont for flavor..shake with the water in the bottle and gragle with it after you floss..it is VERY healing..and yet, I use Tea Tree on just about anything that ails me :) **Q: Can anybody say what this tastes like, i.e., licorice/anise/fennel, cinnamon, berry/fruit, anything to compare it to?** A: Good.
