The insides were dried out, so it was not messy at all and it was so exciting to open them up to find such a large pearl in that little clam. I was very satisfied with my pearls and I highly recomment this seller. As you can see by the pictures, they are beautiful. There are some flaws, which are expected unless you are buying high dollar pearls inspected in advance. Review: The pearls were ok but oysters were broken when received.
