Review: Great Sond for a low price - I took a chance on these because they were so cheap. I just finished building a car system using 2 pairs of these and I am impressed. Sound quality is amazingly good. A reasonable low end and good highs from the tweeters. I am using a Pioneer media player and Alpine 50W per channel amp to power these in a convertible. Hard to keep bass in a convertible once the top is down. I haven't had it on the highway yet, but sounds great around town. I also bought the recoil rubber covers for the door speakers to protect them from moisture but did not install the foam backing. Foam and water don't mix in my opinion and ZI didn't want something holding water to create rust over a long term. My other build is far superior, but cost me hundreds more. These Recoils are quite adequate for anyone looking for a good sound at a lower price point. I set tweeters in the crossover to +2dB which is probably zero. I don't know how you would get gain from a passive crossover. I would look at this brand again if I need to replace anything in the future. I'm giving it 5 stars because they were so affordable and a great improvement over the OEM speakers in my Mustang.

A: 4ohm but they ohm out at 3.2. Speakers sound great with clean power and about 50-80watts rms.

**Q: Will this fit a 2008 Nissan Maxima**
A: You can visit the crutchfield website to access info on any model vehicle stereo component. Recoil makes awesome equipment in all sizes. Highly recommend.

**Q: Will this fit a 2009 Ford Escape**
A: I believe the Ford escape features 6x8in both front and rear doors. If your escape is equipped with the audiophile package it should have a 8" subwoofer with it's own amplifier in the rear. So to answer your question, no not without some modifications. Hope this helps.

I took a chance on these because they were so cheap. I just finished building a car system using 2 pairs of these and I am impressed. Sound quality is amazingly good. A reasonable low end and good highs from the tweeters. I am using a Pioneer media player and Alpine 50W per channel amp to power these in a convertible. Put these in the doors of a T5 with some sound deadening they are easily worth what I paid and definitely worth it for me
