Of course I didn't disconnect the battery before disconnecting the side airbags and had the SRS light. So basically self-inflicted. No biggie, got this tool overnight and it immediately cleared the SRS warning light in seconds. I'm kind glad I got around to this so late in the car's life because, doing this 10-15 years ago would have cost a mint with literally only the dealership to do this OR getting a hold of, what was then, a $1000 diag unit. If this doesn't fix your issue, then you probably have real problem to diagnose further. Easily paid for itself, but I would be hard pressed to ever have to use it again. I have a 94 540i that was built 7/1993 that has the SRS light flashing then goes solid after a couple of minutes.** A: I’m not sure. Does it have the round port under the hood with about 10 or 12 holes to mate up with the prongs in the scanner? If so it should work. I’m not a mechanic so don’t take it to the bank. It fits my ‘98 Z3. **Q: Will it work on my 2006 e46 m3 for my airbag light? mentions it works for all e46s, but also only up to 2003?** A: It worked on my 2003 BMW M3 in seconds. So... not much help I’m afraid.
