A: Yes, door is probably wood, composite, metal, plastic.  Clean the surface area around the damage, remove all paint and finishes, apply as directed on packaging.

**Q: Will this kit cover a 3x4 hole**
A: Yes, this kit should be a perfect one.

**Q: think this would work on inground pool steps?**
A: If they're fiberglass and you want to repair the structure. You'll need a gel kit for the finish of course.

**Q: Would this work for a boat hull?**
A: Yes, we used it for the hull of my husband's Bass Hunter boat and it worked great.  It even takes paint well.

Pros: easy to apply and mixed Cons: none. Tip: Try to apply in a very ventilated area. Better it it is outside of the house. It has a strong smell
