This light was to replace the exact same flash flight that my wife dropped and broke. The material seems to be thinner. Most noticeable is that while the exterior dimensions appear to be the same (although there are noticeable design differences as well), the interior battery chamber has more space and side to side wiggle room. Therefore, you can hear the batteries shift side to side especially when setting it down on a table.
