I believe it's water based acrylic** A: I have successfully used this WOOLIE with Behr paints in creating sets for the stage. I have never had any problems with it. ALL of the paints I have used have been water-based in nature. The Woolie cleans up really well, especially if you wash it immediately after use. I looked up the Behr Dynasty line of paints, and cannot see you having any problem in using this piece with them. **Q: Can an oil-based glazed be used with this product?** A: I don't know because I used it with a glaze that was water based but I can't imagine that you could clean it very well with an oil base paint. **Q: do the walls need to be smooth or can you go over orange peel textured walls?** A: I applied plaster to my walls and texturized it with pottery tools. Then I applied two base coats of satin paint and then used a glaze with the woolie. My surface did not have sharp edges that would cut; as long as you have a base coat that smooths over the surface I don't think there would be a problem with the texture. I think it adds dimension and depth to your wall. **Q: Do you have to clean the woolly after each phase** A: There was only one phase that I used the woolie for...I painted my wall with a roller.
