Review: I discovered Dandy Blend when i was forced (for health reasons) to go on a diet that excluded ALL caffeine - not even decaff tea was allowed. But on the slip that the specialist gave me detailing my diet, next to "no caffeine" it said "Dandy Blend ok". I thought "what's dandy blend?" I love my decaff Nespresso pods and so the thought of not being able to have my creamy hot morning drink, I went home and looked up Dandy Blend online to find it on desertcart. I actually like it just as much as coffee and maybe a little better. It tastes delicious cold or hot. Its easy to mix and comes in the same form as instant coffee so it immediately blends and dissolves with any liquid. I've had it sweet or without any sweetener. I have it with almond milk or black and its seriously delicious any which way you spin it. However, word to those of you who are looking for something that tastes exactly like coffee but has no caffeine - if you blind tested Dandy and coffee, you could easily tell which is which. But its delicious and tastes similar enough that after only a week or so, I couldn't remember how coffee tasted different. It reminds me of properly brewed cold coffee where it lacks any acidity taste but is still very rich and smooth. So the taste was more than enough for me to drink it, but then i stumbled upon the health benefits of dandelion and i'm a Dandy Blend lifer now! 1. Digestion: Dandelion root is a mild laxative and also balances the good bacteria found in your intestines. It also helps your stomach and liver release stomach acid and bile which keeps your digestion moving properly. 2. Kidney support: Dandelion is a diuretic which assists the kidneys in flushing out waste, salt and excess water. This can be especially helpful for women who have trouble with bloating during PMS. Instead of leaving you dehydrated from water loss, dandelion will replenish your potassium stores which is an important electrolyte. 3. **Q: Does this product come in Organic and GMO free?**
A: It isn't stated on the bag that is is organic or GMO free.  You'll need to contact the manufacturer to get any information on this.  dandyblend.com  or 1-800-697-4858.  It could be that their plastic bag was manufactured before GMO became such an issue.  Their label does state that the product is pesticide free.

**Q: Does this taste JUSt like coffee or that awful taste one gets when drinking dandelion tea? I would vomit if it had a taste like that.**
A: If you have ever had Chock Full O Nuts coffee, it tastes almost exactly like that.  I like to make it a little strong, like 2 1/2 teaspoons of Dandy to 8 oz. hot water, and add like 1/2 a teaspoon of coconut palm sugar ( to keep the flavors nice and rich) with a bit of milk.  I think it's a fantastic coffee replacement.  WhenI had to quite coffee for medical reasons I was soooooooo happy to find Dandy.  :-)

**Q: Does it stain your teeth like coffee?**
A: I drank this everyday for months (it’s super delicious) and developed black stains between a couple teeth for the first time in my life. However, I used 2 tbsp every morning, 6 times the listed serving size. I also can’t say with 100% certainty that the Dandy Blend caused the staining. Regardless, the stains easily came off at my regularly scheduled dental cleaning.

I was skeptical when I purchased a sample pouch of Dandy Blend at a health food store while were out camping but enjoyed the taste of coffee again! I used to drink 10 to 15 cups of coffee a day but haven't had any for over 20 years due to stomach and digestive issues - coffee didn't help. I have had stomach problems for most of my life due to many food allergies/ntolerances so giving up coffee was a sad day indeed. IBS limits my food choices and allergies especially to wheat and being lactose intolerant has changed my eating habits - not all sad news however I probably eat better because of it. :-) The Dandy Blend was a welcome alternative to having the coffee taste I missed and I was impressed enough to order the "giant bag" on Amazon.ca and its certainly delish, blends well with water, goat milk, lactose free milk, almond milk and soy milk... no residue at the bottom of the mug either!! I have typically 1-2 mugs per day consisting of 1 full teaspoon of Dandy Blend in hot water and add a little goat milk with Organic Sucanat for sweetener - its a morning drink for me now. Oh... and there was some concerns from other customers about the flactulence... I also suffer from constipation due to the IBS and this has helped with some regularity for me. Not sure if that's a bonus for others but I appreciate being able to "go" - I don't seem to have the toots either!
