First, buy thin sliced bread. Dave’s Killer Bread has a good white loaf. This is not a panini maker so you won’t be able to stuff a lot of things inside. It makes a good basic grilled cheese and that’s about it. If you want to add tomatoes, I suggest microwaving them first until hot. It will help the cheese melt and just makes for a better sandwich. Obviously, the bread slices have to fit within the allotted space to have things work properly.
