Also the size is not suitable for any adult. I have a relatively small face and either my nose or chin where protruding not giving a satisfactory fit. I purchased these for working in as they can be washed and re-used and unfortunately I hadn't looked at the returns policy before buying. If they were purchased for a child then I assume the elastic would not be a correct length to secure the mask. Unsure of this but that would be an educated guess.
