It seems as though as the seller purposely sent me a damaged item. Because both boxes arrived in the same shipment, both product boxes were flawless on the outside. And both had hagromo’s internal foam liners. One box’s 72 chalks were all intact, however the other box had 11 broken chalks. “If“ it was damaged during shipping, there would’ve been broken chalks in both boxes, this only means that the seller purposely sent a defective product. This was a gift.. I wouldn’t be mad if this was crayola .. but this is premium chalk.. will never purchase from this seller again.

**Q: I thought that Hagoromo had gone out of business. Is this their chalk or a knock-off?**
A: That is slightly complicated. The original company went out of business, yes, but some of the machines and the method used in their manufacture were sold to Sejongmall, the company I believe is selling this based on the promotions available. They now sell a similar chalk, in my experience, under the Hagoromo name. So it is their chalk recipe and process done by a new company and it is a close facsimile. The answer to your question depends on how you interpret that.

**Q: Is the 72-count only white chalk no longer sold?**
A: From time to time, they will run out of white. I spoke with Sejongmall about this, and they say it's a normal artifact of demand spiking, plus having to ship everything from Korea. If you ever see it missing (I've seen the white no longer listed before), then just wait a couple days.

**Q: To echo a former question, what happened to the white chalk? It seems white was formerly sold here, and now it's gone.**

This is not 1 dollar chalk, so I was frustrated when I received my order. I ordered 2 boxes, 72 pieces each. It seems as though as the seller purposely sent me a damaged item. Because both boxes arrived in the same shipment, both product boxes were flawless on the outside. And both had hagromo’s internal foam liners. One box’s 72 chalks were all intact, however the other box had 11 broken chalks. “If“ it was damaged during shipping, there would’ve been broken chalks in both boxes, this only means that the seller purposely sent a defective product. This was a gift.. I wouldn’t be mad if this was crayola .. but this is premium chalk.. will never purchase from this seller again.
