Perfect for overnights, you can carry it or keep both hands free by wearing it on your back.  It has a protected pouch for a small laptop or tablet, and a reasonable amount of room for your gear.  If you are trying to avoid checked baggage, this is perfect.  Built well, it should last a lifetime.
