Across four CDs in wallets in a clamshell box are “Jeopardy”, “From The Lion’s Mouth” and “All Fall Down”, the three legend-enshrining LPs they recorded for Korova and WEA between 1980 and 1982. The albums are supplemented with rarities, b-sides, the recordings with Kevin Hewick, and BBC radio sessions. The fourth CD contains the BBC live in concert recordings. I ordered this set of albums by "The sound" and am Happy that I did. You will get three of the groups " Records " and a special BBC historical session CD too. It is well worth the money and this music is just full of emotion and power. Though I am from this era of the late 70's and early 80's, the time which Adrian Borland reached this Epoch, i unbelievably , never heard of "The Sound" until the fall of 2018. While a handful of groups were present (I don't need to name them) during this time, " The Sound" was never represented as it should have been. I came across Adrian Borland when I saw a video that listed many 80's performers who were no longer with us. I heard a snippet of music and instantly Loved it. Was it post punk or New Wave ? Maybe both and yet neither. More bleak, less syrupy, yet Driven and Powerful and satisfying.
