**Q: Is this thick enough to withstand the carbonation that kombucha makes with a second fermentation?**
A: Absolutely not.  The only containers I've found that can are boston rounds and tapered neck bottles SPECIFICALLY designed for pressure.  I run a small kumbucha company and have bottled thousands and thousands of various bottles.  I must have tried 40 plus different sizes and shapes as well.  Dont go cheap, just get the nice flip top tapered neck ones.

**Q: Has anybody found replacement lids yet? I ordered some that said 38mm and they were too small**
A: 43/400 first perfectly.
Just ordered samples from container and packaging.

**Q: Are the lids metal, plastics or other?**
A: Plastic

**Q: Can I use them for beer?**
A: I use them for kombucha which creates its own naturally occurring carbonation so I would imagine that beer would be okay too.
