Assuming you're using it 'normally'. As it IS PWM if you shake it very quickly back and forth in your hand while looking at the light you'll start to see the PWM but not using normally...as persistence of vision maintains the illusion. Of course, with a camera when shutter speeds are taking peeks you'll be able to see it...that is just the nature of the beast for high lumens, low voltage/current devices. Walking around my neighborhood on dog walks and using it around the house for about 2 weeks and I could never discern any 'flicker' - at any of the levels or bulbs (noting the two smaller emitters on the side). I can say...the UV is mostly useless...it's too dim to fluoresce much of anything...even getting very close and the visible light washes out most fluorescing. Anyone reading this: DO NOT buy it for the UV function. **Q: Why does this light automatically turn from high to medium after about 1 min?? I thought it was supposed to stay on high for 30 min? Battery is full** A: It is normal for LED light to step down the brightness when its temperature elevates. You can turn it back to high once it cools down a bit. **Q: Does the auxiliary light illuminate 360 degrees? Or only one side of the flashlight?** A: One side, but it is a pretty wide spread. Holding down the button gives you light as long as it's depressed, if you just need it for a few seconds, and it's simple enough to cycle through the brightness levels if you need it longer than that. I love the rechargeable battery; it's easy to recharge, and no more having to buy and change non-rechargeable batteries. Admittedly I don't have a lot of use for the auxiliary functions, but I don't mind them being included. The UV light is nifty to have I guess, and maybe I can use it for sterilizing surfaces or making fluorescent minerals or glow-in-the-dark stuff glow. The high-CRI light is surprisingly bright, so I guess I could use it when photographing things indoors to get better colors? And the blinking mode for catching attention I could definitely see having some use outside at night. All in all their addition doesn't detract from the overall simplicity of this flashlight, which is mainly what I'm looking for in a keychain carry device.
