That's why all professionals work with correctly pre-warmed Cups as a matter of principle. If hot Coffee is poured into cold porcelain Cups, a lot of heat is lost. Too much, in fact. Review: Works, but the drawers are a little clunky - You can set the unit to heat cups for a certain period of time in the day, which is nice. It also visually works with a Jura coffee machine, so it looks like a nice set. However, the drawers (the things you actually touch) feel cheap and the soft close feature first yanks the drawer from your hand, jostling the cups, and then in the last split second slows down so as not to slam. It would probably have been better for Jura to just focus on smooth sliding and skip the soft close feature. Review: Works, but doesn't have non-volatile memory for ON/OFF - If you have a power glitch you need to reprogram the auto ON/OFF. I must have done it 20 times. A tall cup will not fit. It holds 6 coffee cups total, more if they are espresso cups. **Q: How do you turn off the auto shut off?** A: 1) Turn the unit on so the button is lit up red. Lift the flap (display says "ON"). Set the clock by pressing the Clock button until the time is displayed,2) Press the Clock button. The Hour flashes, press Up/Down to set the Hour, then press the Clock button. The Minutes flashes, press Up/Down to set the Minutes. Press the Clock button and the time is set.3) Now whilst the time is displayed (if it isn't press the Clock button). Press the Up/Down button until the On time is displayed (display says "ON"). Press the Clock button. The Hour flashes, press Up/Down to set the Hour to 00, then press the Clock button. The Minutes flashes, press Up/Down to set the Minutes to 00. A 4 3/8" cup is about the tallest to fit comfortably in both drawers (the lower one allows +/- 1/16" taller mugs).
