Review: Love this game for toddlers! - My toddler is quite literally OBSESSED with this game. I gave it to her for christmas and we played it no lie, 8 time in a row. It's so cute and teaches color matching skills and motor skills. Each player has their own log which has 5 slots for acorns. There are colored acorns. Purple, yellow, blue, red and green. The objective is to get one of each. All of the acorns "live" on the tree, aka you just scatter them in the box because the box is the tree (this is great for keeping acorns contained!). You use the spinner to determine how many acorns you get, what color (if any) you get, or other plays such as stealing an acorn from a player, losing your turn or losing all of your acorns to the wind. If you spin and are able to get an acorn, you use the squirrel tongs to pick it up off the tree and put it in your log. Overall the game is super cute, my daughter isn't quite 3 yet and for the most part understands how to play this game. It's a great introduction to board games for her and super fun.

**Q: why can`t an 85 year old play this game...why does the recommended age go to 83 years and 4 months?????????**
A: I've had that same question when games stop the age at 99. What if you are 100 or older? Is this discrimination? haha

**Q: How sturdy are the logs? They appear to be cardboard. Are they?**
A: yes, but they are of the same thick sturdy construction of the box.  for comparison's sake - take the trivial pursuit box vs. monopoly or chutes and ladders.  the latter two end up ripping at the seams and are easily crushed.  Trivial pursuit box is much sturdier and holds up.  Sneaky Snacky Squirrel (box and logs) are better and stronger than trivial pursuit.  if you step on the logs, they'll probably show damage, but form regular handling, not at all.  in fact not only are they thick board, they are coated.  my son also just got chutes and ladders and it is so cheap and flimsy - this game (SSS) was so well made that it was actually an ooh and aah session when we passed it around.  like I said, 4 ppl ordered it once they saw it.  If you are considering this game, I recommend it 1000%.  and I do mean 1000

My toddler is quite literally OBSESSED with this game. I gave it to her for christmas and we played it no lie, 8 time in a row. It's so cute and teaches color matching skills and motor skills. Each player has their own log which has 5 slots for acorns. There are colored acorns. Purple, yellow, blue, red and green. The objective is to get one of each. All of the acorns "live" on the tree, aka you just scatter them in the box because the box is the tree (this is great for keeping acorns contained!). You use the spinner to determine how many acorns you get, what color (if any) you get, or other plays such as stealing an acorn from a player, losing your turn or losing all of your acorns to the wind. If you spin and are able to get an acorn, you use the squirrel tongs to pick it up off the tree and put it in your log. Overall the game is super cute, my daughter isn't quite 3 yet and for the most part understands how to play this game. It's a great introduction to board games for her and super fun.

Our three year old loves this game and we love playing with him. It’s simple to understand and is teaching him skills like using a spinner, taking turns and being a good sport when you lose your turn or someone else wins. The design is cute and sturdy, it doesn’t feel cheap. This game will definitely last us and give us a good amount of play before he outgrows it.

Ordered this game as a parting gift to my client with Autism as I will no longer be working with him due to me starting school. I noticed he had the book version which he would request me to read before bed so I thought he might enjoy the game. We haven't played yet but overall it seems to be a straight forward easy to play game to keep kids engaged for a little while. I hope he likes it and remembers his time with me! <3
