Product Description The PX-891SAF 24X internal DVD/CD Super Multi Writer is Plextor's newly improved half-height DVD Writer. The PX-891SAF reads and writes DVD/CD at blazing fast speed of 24X. The PX-891SAF had passed stringent testing procedure to ensure better compatibility of different media brands available today. It also incorporates new improved chassis design to tremendously reduce noise and greatly improve writing quality. At 24X speed, air flow can cause bothersome acoustic noise. Plextor's unique drive design regulates the air flows, reduces the amount of noise created, and enhances writing and reading quality. Set Contains: Industrial tray gears & pulleys - provides a more stable disc loading tray for a longer life cycle (1 cycle equals 1 tray extend from and then return into the drive)

A: MFG website says that it supports "Karaoke-CD" but that is probably just VCD format. I can confirm it does *not* read CD+G disks.

**Q: Does this drive have LightScribe capability?**
A: No. This is not LightScribe drive.

**Q: Does it come with all necessary connection cables?**
A: No, it is a bare drive.  It don't come with cables and software.

**Q: Does this drive work on windows xp sp3?**
A: According to Plextor's website this drive works with XP.

I bought this drive to replace a faulty one in my desktop computer.Fitting the unit was quite straightforward and in operation was much quieter than the previous model.The unit has burnt quite a number of discs now with no problems whatsoever.A very good replacement drive.
