We homeschool and have used these with success for years. You can make many games out of them. Hope this was helpful. **Q: Does this set include ALL fact families with the numbers 1-12?** A: yes **Q: Are these sturdy enough to hole punch and put on a keyring?** A: yes. but that might be tricky bc you have to cover up one of the corners when showing the kid. since there are numbers on 3 corners you cover up one and that's the answer. the case it comes in is sturdy and nice. we've been using them nightly and i'm very happy with them. **Q: Where can I find ideas for games to play with these cards?** A: I don't know where you could find ideas, but as a teacher, I would think it would be great to have one student act as a "quizzer" and others as "quiz-ees". You could extent this to involve speed of multiplication and division facts by having a timer set, and a third student keeping tallies for how many correct facts are given in the allotted time period. Another variation would be to have teams, you could do this with two or more teams depending on your student's needs and class arrangement. Students not involved could also participate by having paddles with a green side for "agree" and a red side for "disagree", which would give all students accountability during game play. This is all off the top of my head, as a teacher. I'm sure you could come up with many more ideas with colleagues or other parents. I recently attended conferences for my twin 10 year-olds (fourth graders) and both their teachers mentioned they need improvement on their multiplication facts. The reason is that in third grade they were taught only that multiplication is the same as serial adding and they were never taught their multiplication tables. I was very irritated by this last year and had them work on memorizing the tables anyway, but over they summer much of that disappeared. However, my son's teacher said to try flash cards and mentioned these specific ones and now I see why! They not only teach them multiplication (just cover the top number with your hand) but also division (cover either of the bottom numbers with your hand)! And when you do each of the corners at the same time, it reinforces the link between multiplication and division, how the three numbers are linked in both directions.
