I'll take a hair dryer to the stickers to see if I can get them off without tearing the cover, but when buying it, I expected "used, normal wear" to only be normal wear not bold statements that its used and previously rented on all sides of the cover. I really enjoyed reading through this book for my class. It's easy to read and the visuals used to further explain the information put this book in the category of the best of the best. I would buy this and read it just for fun. In fact, I'm going to buy it for my grandmother for those reasons because she loves learning by reading text books. I knew the book was not brand new and used before I received it, so it was not of any surprised that the book is somewhat tattered and has a few pages hanging off or falling out. The book is in good enough condition to read and take notes for my class, and the important concepts of the book stick out so that it is easier to tell what you should take notes on. Always helps me get good scores on the online tests (which this book does not come with the access pass, as disclosed in the description).
