It has a rugged design that means I don't mind throwing it in the bottom of a bag with other tools thrown on top. I have used it on events outside in the dark and inside in the dark/dim areas - in all areas it has performed well for when I need it. I have also found it useful for precision work where I require some brighter light for working on something close to me even during day light. The batteries lasted me about 4 months which I was pleased with as I use it quite a lot. The only down side in my opinion is that the actual torch is quite large compared to other head torches I've seen , but it stays on my head sufficiently well. How do you like it? any concerns?any comments?** A: Haven't used it for tree work what ever that is. Have had mine for several years and like it. I use it all the time for running around in the yard at night since I don't have lights outside. When on spot, it has a pretty good throw. Would probably work as a coon hunting light. Can't tell you just how long the batteries last since I only use it a little at a time. It will start blinking when they do get low. It has a wide bean, a wide beam plus spot light and a spot light only. Hope this helps in your decision.
