When I tried to apply it, it actually created those weird transparent discolorations under my nails that happen when your nails 'bruise' (I don't know what the actual term is, but when the product that barely showed up in the first place faded away, my nails were all still permanently 'bruised' and this 'bruising' had to grow out). Thought I was saving money, but I paid money to ruin my nails. Deadheading roses, picking weeds, etc., stains the underneath of my nails and this pencil perfectly covers the stain until the stain goes away (which can take a couple of weeks). The pencil is easy to use and it makes my nails look fresh, clean, and healthy-looking. My slightly yellow nail ends look white and great. I don't use gel or polish, and sport only a natural nail, so this product is essential in my kit. The pencils last a long time so I definitely get my money's worth out of them and in no way does the product affect the health of my nails.
