I’m a strawberry blonde , freckled and I have a Nordic background A.k.a. I have some really pale skin and I embrace it and appreciate it… but sometimes A girl just wants to be tan! I’ve tried so many (oh yes many trips to The tanning salon before a vacation because I didn’t want to look like the underbelly of a flounder or worse yet Red as a lobster and trust me I have been there) this one is the absolute best for my skin the ultra dark is the most real yes I know I said I was pale but trust me if you follow the instructions and prep your skin and apply this correctly (it’s so easy) you’re never turning back! I never have sunbathed my exposure to the elements includes being on the boat or on vacation scuba diving or parasailing where you can’t wear a hazmat suit and your is skin will be exposed and this isn’t just vanity I will never go on an excursion or vacation anywhere without making sure that I have an application on and I’ll tell you why I have never been burnt ever with this product. It has saved so many an excursion on the boat hiking sailing windsurfing (salt water is a little rough on it) you have to do some maintenance but get over it… it won’t rub off or transfer if you follow the instructions it will last you a full week even with doing as many as activities as I said. So if you ask why I gave only four or five with the application is only because of my preference. They want you to be honest so I’m going to be honest I brought it on vacation as a touch up… I just found I could not control the spray it was going elsewhere like the floor other than on my body. I use another brand but this one is not a thin. I spray directly onto major parts of my skin and I rub on smoothly until I acquire a smooth look. I am careful not to touch anything because all sprays will stain what you touch. I clean my hands carefully & all is removed if I soap my hands heavily not touching nothing but the controls to run warm water, I repeat the soap & add window cleaner which is safe & the two rinsing well & repeating will clean your hands completely. However the soap bar or window cleaner bottle has to be cleaned afterwards & the sink stains but hot water, soap & window cleaning will bring that completely clean. Anything I get this on I use window cleaner and a dry clean cloth and spray and rub off the stain, sometimes repeating twice.The scent is good but doesn’t smell loud.
