They are very much leak proof. I've worked the marine industry and learned all about gaskets and rubber seals to make windows, doors etc leak proof. They obviously did their research. The rubber seal is easy to take off to clean and put back on. You can easily see through the containers to see the contents. Labels and chalk marker were a great bonus as well as the measuring spoons. This product is far better than Rubbermaid and Tupperware. I highly recommend for the price and quality. My kitchen has never been so better organized!

**Q: are these dishwasher safe?**
A: Some plastic Tupperware I've had don't start having melting spots / getting white spots until I've run them in the dishwasher multiple times on the bottom rack so I'd avoid putting plastics on the bottom rack...

**Q: Will those open if placed sideways?**
A: No. No matter how you place them on your shelves, they have to be taken out so all four tabs can be opened.

Menudo juego de botes de plástico con tapa hermética más bueno!! Necesitaba uno como este para poder almacenar pastas, spaguetti, frutos secos, leche en polvo y demás alimento y este juego no puede estar mejor. La diferencia de tamaños y capacidades permite jugar con el para almacenarlos sin problema. Las tapas herméticas funcionan de maravilla. Aparte se incluyen pegatinas, un boli especial color blanco para escribir en las pegatinas el contenido de cada bote y un juego de cucharitas medidoras. "Quizás" Por poner una pega, son muy blancuzcos y hubiera sido genial que fueran mucho más transparentes. Sin embargo, si que se puede ver su contenido, aunque no con tanta claridad como el vidrio/cristal.
