Review: Vinyl weight for records - Best centre weight for vinyl i have bought. Has a centre level to check that the record is moving properly on the table. Great item.
Review: Just looks and feels so dope! Can’t stop staring at it! - This thing is beautiful, super well machined and just looks awesome. The bubble level is great to make sure your turntable is perfectly balanced, when I first got it I realized mine was a bit off and it was so easy to adjust the feet to get the bubble totally centered. Not sure how much of a difference it actually makes sonically but I don’t even care if it does nothing because it just looks and feels so nice it just makes me happy to look at and holds/use picking it up and placing it on the turntable hah it’s just a cool little addition to my setup. Lets be honest even having a turntable is kind of being “extra” when I could just stream anything I want digitally so the whole idea of getting into vinyl is to go overboard and be “extra” so if you’re into that you’re gonna be interested in dope accessories, so if you wanna stabilizer with a bubble level this is an awesome choice! The machining is super nice and it has a great weight with a nice soft pad on the bottom and the bubble level adds an additional functionality so it’s a multi purpose trinket that will make your setup look super cool when your friends come over (if you have any). Highly recommend the gold, I almost went for black or silver to keep my setup monochrome but I’m so glad I decided on the gold it’s so beautiful I can’t stop glancing over at my setup just admiring how dope it looks! No regrets, would recommend to anyone with a turntable!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How is if that this really helps**
A: This is a quality piece that helps hold your vinyl record firmly on the turntable. Better coupling gives you better sound reproduction. It also has a bubble level to confirm position.
A true value , especially if you have a good turntable.
Hope this helps. May God bless.

**Q: Recently purchased this and it does not fit under the dust cover on my atlp60. anyone have a solution for this or an alternative weight?**
A: I agree with the reviewers that stated that you are better off with the dust cover off! I would consider myself an audiophile to some extent, but that's because I'm a black sheep audiophile... I don't always agree with what the majority of so called audiophiles! I have film and audio engineering degrees, have been into and have played music for 40 years, been in studios, have made a few EPs and actually did a lot of my own home recordings back in the day when Tascam used to make the 424 4-trk with 4 simultaneous track recording! And I'd also like to believe that I've got a fairly decent scientific background, I've also got some electrical background and most important out of all..... I've got common sense and a good ear, which all audio sound boils down to whatever you think sounds the best to you, no matter what anyone says or writes about in audiophile magazines! We don't live in a perfect world, OBVIOUSLY, and the majority of us do not live in perfect environments with perfect equipment and so on! MOST IMPORTANT... WHAT SOUNDS GOOD TO YOU! But as far as your puck goes, if it's too late to return it, you can spend more money on another one, if you want to and can afford to drop another $20-$25 on a decent one.... if I were you, I would play my records WITHOUT the dust cover.... unless you have dust and animal hair or something like that flying around your place on a constant basis, you don't need the cover on during play and like other reviewers have mentioned, and what I also agree with, is the cover may add extra vibrations and micro sonics that could be transferred through your tonearm! And if you are really concerned with the dust cover, they actually sell a tonearm with a little brush on the end that you mount to your plinth and it is set to rest nicely in front of your cartridge/needle and what it does is brushes the groove out just as your needle is about to read the information that is pressed into the groove! So there's many options that you can choose from, but the vinyl stabilizer that you have is a very nice piece and instead of spending the money on a new one, I would personally spend the $25 on the extra arm with the brush on the end and that's actually cleaning the groove about 0.02 seconds before your needle hits that part of the groove and it works just like the tracking on your TT and stays in front of your needle the whole way! Unless you live in the middle of a construction site.... I honestly don't see any reason for playing a record with the cover on! Thank you and hopefully I gave you a more reasonable way to look at the situation?!

**Q: Does it sit perfectly dead center on the platter?**
A: It does on my turntable because the spindle is dead center. I really like this record clamp. Wish I'd had it years ago.

**Q: Will this reduce skipping on brand new records?**
A: I have found that skipping on brand new vinyl is from crap still on the vinyl after pressing. I clean every new record before playing and this has eliminated 100% of the skipping issues I had prior.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice turntable accessory
*by P***D on 14 October 2019*

Nice turntable weight. It is my first one to purchase, and it works well. The bubble level is helpful to make sure turntable is level. It's easy to use, and I think it does help for two reasons - first, it holds the record on the platter more securely (no slip....some anti-static mats can slip), and it also helps smooth out the speed irregularities by acting as a kind of flywheel that helps smooth out the speed. Its an improvement I can notice on some music that has sustained notes...they sound a bit smoother. Also, IF your turntable does not have speed strobe markings (one of mine does not), it has markings on the top so you can check on speed. Note - it does not "clamp" to the turntable....it's a weight only. I think the "clamp" interpretaion is more of using weight to clamp the record to the platter by weight only. As other have said - measure the height clearance between your platter and dust cover...I didn't do that and was lucky, but some may not work. And add some extra to cover the thckness of the record (and even a bit more if its 180g vinyl). I can confirm it does fit on a Technics SL-18 (it's also known as a Technics SL-20 or a Panasonic RD-3500/3600) using standard mat as well as a Technics 1200MKII with an extra cork mat...they are both pretty close, but cleared the dust cover testing with 180g vinyl. I also have a Technics SL-B5 and it clears that with room to spare, but that one has an optional record changer so it has tons of dust cover height (I don't use the changer tho). Nice weight - would buy again.
