The 900 will work, but may have difficulties filling the full 7’ effectively. I use 12' stands, not because of their height, but because they have wide bases. Personally, I'm using the Manfrotto 12' fold flat stands #1004BAC. LOVE that they fold flat and lock together for transport. All metal connections too. **Q: Does this umbrella fit my Profoto D1 shaft?** A: Hmm....I have not a clue?
