Review: Easy installation. Works as advertised (and still does after 15 months) - I ordered the IP Communicator to provide dual path CS communication after a regional failure of the Verizon cell link to Alarm.com. In short, the IP Communicator works flawlessly as a backup reporting path and speeds up delivery of home automation commands routed through the alarm.com app. Installation took about 10 minutes: mount the device, power up, connect to router using Cat 6 patch cord, pair with panel, and program panel. Installation requires up to date panel software and the dual band transceiver. The directions for programming the panel outlined the menu choices without providing strong guidance; I selected the default choices for each option, including disabling ports 1 through 8, and everything worked fine. After saving the programming, the panel test of the Go Bridge passed. The CS was able to confirm the IP bridge function by pinging the device. Update: after 15 months the Go Bridge still works flawlessly. I did learn that when internet service is down at home, the alarm.com app on the iPhone does not fall back to LTE to contact the alarm.com server. This means that you cannot arm or disarm your system using your phone if you are within WiFi range of your router when the router has no internet connection. Turning off WiFi on your phone will force LTE use (which makes sense).
Review: great add on - Impressed, no more delay. Works with Vivint, but you have update go control panel firmware. worth it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must Have Device
*by T***G on April 16, 2017*

I purchased this after alarm.com failed to call on a false alarm event when my wife broke a glass on the kitchen floor...breaking the glass and tripping a Glass Break detector mounted on the kitchen ceiling. After disarming, I attempted to re-arm via my Android device but the alarm would not respond. After several failed attempts I got frustrated and armed the panel manually...which worked immediately. This told me that either the XCVR2 failed or the Verizon service it runs on was down. The next day the panel was again responding to cellular commands from my phone so I determined that the Verizon service was down for a period of time the previous night. That's a weakness in the system so I set out to find a solution. That solution turned out to be the BRDG1-900 which acts as a backup to the XCVR2 installed in the panel. If the XCVR2 fails or (more likely) cellular service is interrupted, the BRDG1-900 will get the signal out to alarm.com. As an added benefit, all cellular commands respond much faster now. It takes no more than 3 seconds for any command to be executed now. I'm glad I found out about this potential problem because of the false alarm and not because of a break-in! If you have the 2GIG panel, you NEED this device.
