It hasn't done anything negative to my hair and it's been treated with Keratin as well. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Noticed a Difference in My Hair Upon FIRST Use *by on Reviewed in the United States June 29, 2019* I just received my ArtNaturals Argan Hair Growth Shampoo & Conditioner Set yesterday. Today was my first day to use it. I used the shampoo, left it on for about 2 minutes as instructed, rinsed, then followed with conditioner, which I also left on for about 2 minutes as instructed. I towel dried, combed it through, and applied ArtNaturals Thermal Hair Protector Spray and then combed that through before blow drying for about 5 minutes on high. This is my normal routine, from shampoo to conditioner to heat protector, but with regular drugstore brands. The difference, however, between the ArtNaturals brand and my regular brands was quite amazing after even just this first use!I initially purchased the ArtNaturals brand products I mentioned above to help with thinning hair (very minor, but I can tell a difference where others probably don't notice). I also just started taking an organic Biotin supplement, as it is supposed to help with hair, skin and nails. Even if the ArtNaturals does nothing to improve the thickness and regrowth of my hair, I will stick with this brand strictly because of how amazing my hair feels today after just one use! It feels like salon-quality results. You know, that feeling after you get your hair cut and highlighted, how soft it feels. It feels just like that. There is so much movement and body, nothing weighing it down. I blow dry my hair upside down to get volume because of my fine hair, but always end up with the ends of my shoulder-length hair flipping up even when I use a flat iron to straighten it. It is much easier to straighten (just the ends because my hair is very straight as it is) using the ArtNaturals products. I'm not sure if it is the shampoo/conditioner or the heat protection spray, or a combo of all of it, but I'm sold! And I've used other shampoos and conditioners before this one. Like Suaves almond butter and rosemary mint combos. (It was cheap and probably damaged my hair.) Shea Moistures manuka honey and mafura oil combo. And lastly, Tgins sulfate shampoo and green tea conditioner. The last two weren't bad. But I felt like there were some better combos out there. For around the same price. And I was right.I remember at the time reading articles and hearing about dangerous chemicals they put in a lot of hair products. Most notably shampoo and conditioner. Which is the only thing I've used on my hair, at the time. Now I use Pantenes hair moisterizer spray after showers. It's cheap, and will suffice until I can find a better one. From what I remember, it's always been below $30. I've been buying this for 18 months now.About this shampoo and my conclusion:I've read and have been told by hair stylists. That washing your hair everyday is bad. Because your hair needs natural oil. To be smoother, and healthier. And I've noticed that too. My hair is naturally curly. And after waking up, my hair is often a mess. And I need to wash it, before going out for it to look presentable. Even when I'm using this product 5 times a week. I would think by me overusing it, that I would have dried my hair out by now. But it actually makes it a whole lot softer, the more I use it. The softess I've ever seen it, actually. This product does help hydrate your hair though. Ideally, I'd like to use it only 2-3 times a week. For the best results, for me. From the many times I've purchased this. (Every 3 months on average.) I noticed that the scent can change significantly. Around 3-4 times now. The second to last batch I've ordered, probably had the worst scent. I'm pretty sure they changed some ingredients. As opposed to me just getting a "bad batch". The shampoo lightly smelled of a dolls burning hair and plastic. But after conditioning, washing, and moisterizing my hair. The scent wouldn't stick. Plus, the product seems to be getting better for my hair overtime. Even when the smell may have been less desirable. This product is specially designed to be gentle, with curly hair. The argan oil helps my hair look shiner too. I honestly can't recommend this product enough. 5/5 stars. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad so far *by on Reviewed in the United States October 21, 2023* The number of times I've used this shampoo I can count on one hand, but I remember that after using it I do feel a definite clarifying feeling for my hair and scalp. I sometimes, depending on the seasons and routine, suffer from seborrheic dermatitis which can get pretty bad along the edges of my scalp and even affect my eyebrows. Once I start seeing patches along my eyebrows' edges I know it's time for a deep cleansing. Other shampoos that cater to dandruff and scalp conditions do work but often leave my hair feeling stripped and listless after leaving the shower as they're made mostly to fight bacteria on your scalp. Using this set, however, has shown much better treatment of my scalp and hair overall. For a long time I did not use conditioners as they seemed superfluous to me and like another expense to add to my bath time routine.With this set, I get the best of both worlds in that I have a complete cleansing system for my hair/scalp that is gentle without harmful chemicals and alcohols that will strip my hair. There is not a rich lather, but is still leaves my scalp feeling refreshed when paired with a silicone scrubber to gently wash away any persistent flakes that are sitting on my hair and scalp towards the roots. The conditioner follows up by putting back any lost nutrients to my follicles and I exit the shower with my hair feeling soft to the touch and not like a fire hazard. It cleans without stripping, smells absolutely fantastic, and possibly best of all, you don't need to use a palm full to really get your hair feeling clean! Using a small amount or nickel size is probably going to work out great for you, but if you have longer hair, past your shoulders like I do, a quarter size worked from your roots to your ends may actually be just enough.
