Review: Outstanding except... - It's very sturdy and is of high quality. However, the gap between the step and the bracket was way too far for my slide in. It left a 6inch gap to fall through if you weren't looking. I cut the bracket on the stairs, drilled new holes and it's perfect now.

**Q: how do you determine if you need a 3 or 4 step?**
A: Tailgate sat over 36" with camper on the truck. Had a 3 step and it was way to steep. The 4 is great.

**Q: Could this be used as bow boat ladder when the boat is beached (assuming the steps are long enough to reach the beach)?**
A: I don't see why not. However, the top of the ladder hooks to a bracket that would have to be securely mounted to outside of the boat.

**Q: Mounting bracket**
A: Yes there is a mounting bracket that comes with it, I have a small wooden deck on my TC that I attacked the bracket to. It had the lag bolts with it also, great set of steps.

**Q: How high is the rise between steps?**
A: About 5", nicely progressive and not too steep. Best stair-steps for my camper I could have hoped to find. Seem expensive? Not at all, real quality & utility. So glad I didn't but some cheap step.

Waited a while to write a review because the first set i had were really bad (from another mfg), wanted to see how these held up over time. These steps are great, light weight but strong. I'm over 200 pounds and no problems. Easy to install and remove for travel. They are very bright and shiny but easily taken care of with a can of black non skid paint. Would highly recommend.
