This is dry loose glitter powder. **Q: What is this? How do you use it as just a sparkle over polish or cant you? What makes it stick if you use it that way?** A: I use it with gel polish. You cure your color and while the polish is still tacky apply it with a brush where you want it. Top coat and finish your nails. You can also mix it with acrylic. You can use it in cosmetics, too. **Q: Can i use the solely as my dipping powder? Or do i hav to combine it with a solid dipping powder to work?** A: No, you cannot use this alone as dipping powder - it's just glitter - so you must combine with a dip powder. For the best glitter-only effect, I mix equal parts (1 teaspoon) glitter with clear dipping powder. For the best slight-glittery results, I mix 1/4 teaspoon glitter with 1 teaspoon color powder. When dip glitter/powder is applied properly, you should not have to buff between the activator and top coat, except for smoothing the edges of your nail. I discourage buffing for dip glitter/powder because it clouds the glitter effect in the finished result. To me, it's not ideal. So, here's my (so far perfect) APPLICATION TIP FOR DIP GLITTER/POWDER -- after you apply your base, dip into your mixture just like you would a regular dip powder. Quickly remove. HERE IS WHERE YOU CHANGE IT UP -- after you remove your nail from the dip mixture, use a clean finger from your opposite hand and dip the tip into the mixture, then lightly press to smooth onto the nail you just dipped. Do not rub. Just press lightly press. This helps flatten the glitters without lifting any of the powder/glitter you just dipped. You must do this each time you did into the glitter mixture. Super simple. After you've achieved your desired opacity, apply your activator. Your nail should feel "mostly" smooth at this point. THIS IS OKAY - DO NOT BUFF. If the glitter on your nail is so rough that the glitters feel "sharp," then you did not smooth properly with your fingertip. Smooth your nail edges as needed with a 180-grit file or buffer, trying to avoid hitting the top of the nail where the glitter is as much as possible. Apply a second swipe of activator on the edge(s) you buffed. Wait 3 minutes. Apply 3 layers of top coat, waiting 3 minutes between each coat. BOOM.
