Review: Larger than expected - This was much larger than I expected at this price point 😅 I thought it was going to be smaller. It's not a huge deal, but I was planning on using it for rubber ducky isopods and I only have 10 💀 I mean, I suppose they'll reproduce and fill it up eventually lol It comes with a plastic divider but the little holes are larger enough for smaller isopods to crawl thru. I tried covering the holes but there are still gaps on the bottom so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I guess I won't really use the divider. It's a decent little terrarium. It would be good for invertebrates but I wouldn't consider keeping reptiles or amphibians in here unless they were tiny babies, but even then, if you need to use heating elements, they'd probably melt the plastic. The breathing holes are pretty large, but I think my isopods should be fine. If I need to I'll just tape those over, too, since the lid also lets in plenty of airflow. I wouldn't keep small spiders or anything else that can climb in here, though, unless you don't mind reinforcing escape holes with window screen. It's only $5 per roll at Home Depot so it's an easy fix with a little hot glue and 20 minutes of your time

It’s so spacious that there’s still room to grow the colony in the future! Many comments mentioned a yellowish tint in the plastic but it’s so slight that I would not have even noticed had I not read the reviews. The lid fits very tightly on the bin, making it difficult to take on and off. So I just access the inside of the tank via the two clear windows on the lid. But I’m very happy with it overall. It sure beats a super heavy and expensive 10 gallon glass terrarium.

**Q: Does this work for a small turtle**
A: Far too small for any kind of turtle at all. If its an aquatic turtle, it needs at least one gallon of dechlorinated water per inch of carapace length (shell measured from head to tail). Also also turtles absolutely need UBV light (and calcium because without either of the 2, they get MBD & shell rot) so this housing would be inappropriate, because even if it were several times bigger & big enough to hold the right amount of water and a basking area, UVB rays cannot go through this kind of lid properly.

**Q: Does it have a handle?**
A: It does not have a handle

**Q: Ca I use a heat mat for this cage?**
A: Yes you can. I have kept reptiles since 1985. Heat mats are excellent as long as you use a thermostat. Never had an issue with them. If you are going to be using a bunch of these enclosures, you may want to look into heat tape or cable/rope.

**Q: how many gallons is it**
A: After doing the math, it's approximately 5.3 gallons for this faunarium.

This was much larger than I expected at this price point 😅 I thought it was going to be smaller. This terrarium is the ideal size for my community tank of 12 desert beetles. It’s so spacious that there’s still room to grow the colony in the future! Many comments mentioned a yellowish tint in the plastic but it’s so slight that I would not have even noticed had I not read the reviews. The lid fits very tightly on the bin, making it difficult to take on and off. So I just access the inside of the tank via the two clear windows on the lid. But I’m very happy with it overall. It sure beats a super heavy and expensive 10 gallon glass terrarium.

Not at all what was advertised. Came with 6 panels that I guess are supposed to be the cover? No instructions on how to put them together if that was supposed to be the cover. Definitely not what was advertised.
