It’s a small die cast replica. It comes out of the package ready to display. Just snap the stand together and you’re done **Q: What precautions to prevent it being shipped broken?** A: I haven't any experiences with the NCC-1701 ship being broken upon arrival. The only ones I've received broken more times than not was the NCC-1864 (USS Reliant). I believe packing in multiple boxes with plenty of package insulation between the boxes should protect them. **Q: Is this ship constitution class?** A: Yep. Original Constitution class…not the refit version. **Q: plastic holder- can you get replacement plastic holders that keep it soaring upwards? I can't seem to find the C Bracket** A: I had a real issue with trying to find a replacement bracket. Apparently, it was only available with the model, no individual replacement stands. I had to buy the materials to repair it instead. Now that Eaglemoss is out of business, I'm pretty sure you'll have to be inventive and come up with others means. Sometimes eBay has odds and ends like that however. ## Frequently Bought Together - Star Trek USS Enterprise NCC-1701 - Hero Collector| Star Trek The Official Stars Collection | Eaglemoss Model Box U.S.S.
