**Q: Will it open the pod bay doors, if I ask it?**
A: Only if you have a pod bay door

**Q: I've got some scientist friends in cryosleep. Would this be good for monitoring their vitals and automatically adjusting settings as necessary?**
A: Get the updated HAL 9100. The 9000 had some software issues that have been resolved with the 9100.

**Q: Is this a finished replica, or do you need to assemble and paint?**
A: A: Pretty simple kit to paint and assemble. Only six pieces (not including the stand; but you’ll want to hang it on a wall, anyway). You’ll need model cement and primer & paint: flat black, silver and/or aluminum, semi-gloss black and gunmetal.

**Q: Is any soldering necessary to attach the sound module's wires, or are the connections pre-soldered or attached some other way?  I can't solder.**
A: Hi, thanks for your interest in the HAL kit.  As far as I know, no soldering is required, just some hobby cement and paint, if you want to highlight.  Great kit, loved the movie. . . what a classic!  Thanks again for having a look.  Cheers,
