Es zwingt mich dazu, langsamer und genauer zu werden. Meine Handschriften verfasse ich seit einigen Jahren praktisch nur mit einem Füller. Da es zunehmend schwieriger wird eine geeignete Kombination von Papier und Tinte zu finden, habe ich mich auf die Suche begeben und bin eher zufällig auf eine Tinte von Rohrer & Klingner gestoßen und wollte sie einfach mal testen: Königsblau. Wie sie es hinbekommen haben, weiß ich nicht, aber die Tinte von Rohrer & Klingner liefert ein außergewöhnlich lebhaftes, interessantes und gleichmäßiges Schriftbild, und stellt dabei gleichzeitig ein Optimum zwischen Oberflächenspannung, Viskosität und Benetzung dar. Die Tinte neigt auf schlechten Papieren viel weniger zum Ausbluten und Zerfasern, wenngleich viele Papiere, die in Druckern verwendet werden, für Füller heutzutage völlig ungeeignet sind, weil an der Papierleimung und einer Kalandrierung (Glättung) der Papiere gespart wird. Da kann auch diese Tinte nicht mehr viel retten. Bei guten Papieren liefert die Tinte durch die hervorragenden Benetzungseigenschaften selbst bei schneller Federführung einen durchgehenden Strich ohne Aussetzer. Die Oberflächenspannung und Viskosität ist so eingestellt, dass es im Schriftbild durch die Variation im Tintenauftrag des Füllers sowohl dunkle als auch helle Bereiche gibt, die Tinte aber trotzdem schnell genug trocknet, sodass man nichts verwischt oder verschmiert. Die Tinte funktioniert in einem Pelikan Souverän, einem Pelikan Epoch, einem Lamy Accent und einem alten Reform Füller Nr. 1745 gleichermaßen gut.
