Usually,the ratchet recommended to be install at the low points.this is convenient for each use to tighten,If the low point tree is too thick, you can also install it at the high point,but in this way, you may need to use a ladder when you each time to tightening up.Remember to install the safety wire rope correctly after installing the ratchet straps.Have a good time with your family! **Q: Main cable is short by 8 feet. Will safety cable make that up?** A: Hello Tanya E, we noticed that you said the distance between your two trees is 158ft, During installation, the steel wire rope is inclined rather than straight,So when you choose two trees, you should take the distance into full consideration.(Please refer to the illustration of the manual) 1. The main cable wire rope is 150ft long, and 16ft safety rope plays a role of insurance,not extension. 2. Although the wire rope will be connected with a 13ft long tensioner at the low point, but when you install it, you should wind the wire rope several times at the high point. Therefore, we don't recommend trying, unless you can pull the steel wire rope very tight and install it after reaching the maximum length, and also consider the diameter of the tree. If it is too thick, recommended not to install it. The best way is to change a tree. Like a few of the other reviews on here, the bearings broke and fell out. We searched everywhere for bearings to replace them but couldn’t find the exact size. We tried contacting the company on Amazon and got no response. We were pretty discouraged and chalked it up as a loss until I found their email address in the instruction manual and figured we’d give it one last try.Once I emailed the company and explained what happened they responded immediately and sent a whole new replacement zipline since it was still under warranty!All in all we love the zipline and I just recommend holding onto the instruction manual in the case that you run into the same issue. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun while it lasts. *by T***R on September 4, 2024* We had a lot of fun on this for a few months. The bearing on the pulley went out really fast. It went from them gliding across the yard to having to run with them from one end to the other. It was easy to put together. The break works really well. I like the different options you have as far as a harness or the round seat. It was very affordable. Worked fine for anyone under 10 years old.
