A: I don't think but it can be used to boil eggs. However you can experiment and let's know the outcome

A: I bought for Asia use.

A: I don't know what a UK plug is.  This has a three prong plug.  Different than what is used in the USA.

**Q: What frequency does this operate on? 50Hz or 60hz ?**
