The rainbow "stain" and the white haze other people complain about are typical of all stainless steel. Cleans beautifully in the dishwasher or by hand. A quick scrub with Barkeepers Friend eliminates any stains and brings back the just-new shine. Especially like the rolled edge which minimizes drips when pouring, and appreciate the glass lid.
