The zipper takes up the entire back so it is easy to put it back on the cushion.My son had been complaining about his back but has used this for the past two weeks on his desk chair and hasn't complain since getting it.It is not Velcro'd to his chair and sits comfortably and doesn't fall of the chair when he gets up.
