I'd guess it stays very hot for maybe ~90 seconds, then hot for another ~2 minutes, and then warm for another ~8 minutes. Very disappointing. The foot ankle one is great not only for your foot/ankle, but also used on your hand/wrist like a glove. We kept the Large so it can be used by everyone. I can’t imagine this ever wearing out. Comfortable to wear…fabric is comfortable inside and out. No icy gel to deal with.
