It holds firmly through the full progression of stretch. He has a blister near where you would have a bunion from dragging his foot when he pitches. It would reopen and bleed during games, was painful and would throb and never got a chance to heal. Other bandages and wraps would fall off from sweat. Now with this nice little half sock he can wear a blister bandage and slides the bunion protector over it and has no pain at all. The material is very lightweight and stretchy. I was afraid it wouldn't fit due to his foot being so big. The fit is perfect smooth and snug without cutting off circulation and the gel pad offers extra protection. They come in a pair and are not left or right specific. They can easily be washed in the sink and quickly dry. He is happy with the product and wears it for every game.
