This Ready To Run Electric Train Set Includes: Union Pacific 4-8-4 steam locomotive and tender with operating smoke and headlight, grain car, three-dome tank car, flat car with logs, center-flow hopper, open quad offset hopper, two plug-door box cars, wood stock car, wide-vision caboose, body-mounted E-Z Mate couplers, 63" x 54" oval of snap-fit E-Z Track with 16 pieces of 22" radius curved track, 5 pieces of straight track, and 1 plug-in terminal rerailer, power pack and speed controller, illustrated instruction manual.

Review: Great set! Read on for in depth review. - Hey all just wanted to come in and leave a review on this fantastic train set, now first off all the reviews that are one or two stars are way off at least in my opinion. For the price this is probably the best HO scale train set on desertcart it seems that others have had a derailing problem now I have run this for roughly an hour give or take a few minutes and have had absolutely no problem with it she runs like a dream and this is with the track on carpet no less. Now if you have carpet that is rather fluffy then it may have an issue or two but the nice weight of the locomotive really helps to keep it on the tracks a nice solid surface is recommended such as a hard wood floor or table. The locomotive is a 4-8-4 Niagra but it's sort of a "mutt" in that it is not an exact Niagra but a mix if that and another loco I can't figure out. The pulling power is great and the NINE! yes nine cars are easily pulled by this beast of an engine. The loco features all metal wheels that is for the pilot wheels, drivers and trailing wheels as well as metal piston rods this is all rounded out nicely with the smoke unit and headlight that function very well. The paint is exceptional with no bleed lines everything is crisp and easy to read this goes for the rolling stock as well as the engine and tender. When assembled the entire train is roughly in the 5.5ft range and so a good bit of track is provided the measurements for the size of the oval should be in the description just below the images so I won't record its size here. Now for every up there is a down and that is the case with this set the loco features two very small square holes near the cylinders on either side of the locomotive that when given enough smoke fluid will leak this is not a huge problem as you shouldn't put more than 6-10 drops of fluid in the smoke stack at any given time even then it may leak so be aware of this. Another small issue I came across was two or three pieces of track needed to have the rail joiners bent so that the track would go together this issue is very easy to fix as you just get a small screwdriver or tweezers and just pry it outward but don't go He Man on it just pry slightly and it will be fixed in no time flat. In conclusion this train set is a great addition either as a take apart put back together set or as a more permanent setup either way I find it to be a fantastic product though Bachmann never disappoints. -side notes: I would replace the plastic wheels on the tender and freight cars with metal ones as plastic picks up grime much faster than plastic. I would also try to find a way to close the square holes on the sides of the boiler to keep the smoke fluid from leaking onto your rails and wheels.

**Q: Is this remote controlled? What would I need to mount it around a wall? Thanks!**
A: No this train is not remote controlled. The controller plugs into the track. I have no idea what you mean by "around a wall".

**Q: does it come with smoke?**
A: Yes it does come with a small tube used to make smoke in the engine.

**Q: Is this loco the smaller version of the big boy? can this pull half the cars the big boy can pull?**
A: We have pulled 25 cars without wheel slip we would have put more on the track but there wasn't any more room between the front of the loco and the end of the train.

**Q: "Hi i have a question, i have one of these 806 models that smokes just like this one, how much smoke oil do i put in?" i dont want to overfill it,**
A: I put in about 20 drops.

Hey all just wanted to come in and leave a review on this fantastic train set, now first off all the reviews that are one or two stars are way off at least in my opinion. For the price this is probably the best HO scale train set on amazon it seems that others have had a derailing problem now I have run this for roughly an hour give or take a few minutes and have had absolutely no problem with it she runs like a dream and this is with the track on carpet no less. Now if you have carpet that is rather fluffy then it may have an issue or two but the nice weight of the locomotive really helps to keep it on the tracks a nice solid surface is recommended such as a hard wood floor or table. The locomotive is a 4-8-4 Niagra but it's sort of a "mutt" in that it is not an exact Niagra but a mix if that and another loco I can't figure out. The pulling power is great and the NINE! yes nine cars are easily pulled by this beast of an engine. The loco features all metal wheels that is for the pilot wheels, drivers and trailing wheels as well as metal piston rods this is all rounded out nicely with the smoke unit and headlight that function very well. The paint is exceptional with no bleed lines everything is crisp and easy to read this goes for the rolling stock as well as the engine and tender.
