I clamp my stinger directly to the brass peice you can see with the hole in it. Make sure your stinger is negative polarity. My old line was dry rotted and I wasn't aware. It was leaking enough and eventually started blowing up my welds. This was the best priced replacement on the market. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. I only wish it was identical with my original setup. I had to transfer the electronic switch to the new line, and open the valve.
