I can't believe we went this many years grooming our cats without this. A word of advice: This tool is designed for cats with long, thick hair and will not work so well on cats with short and medium hair. The best approach for removing matted hair is to start with the eleven toothed side until the tool moves freely through the hair. Progress to the twenty three toothed side afterward. If there are still areas of matted hair remaining, remove them with a super fine toothed de-shedding tool like a furmanator.
