The mini is good but not something I reach for often. The pink one - it is a dream. I like it better than any of my other sponges, including the bb. I am a die hard real techniques sponge fan. But this one is even better. I like to have several in rotation and can't afford more than one "real" beauty blender at a time. The pink sponge in this set is soft and bouncy and just fabulous. Wish I could buy it on its own. Best dupe for the beauty blender I've tried. Easier to clean, too. AND the color doesn't bleed, which has always bugged me about the more expensive blender. Four stars only cause the black one is too firm and dense.P. S. My first set is still the one I still use (pink, black, and tiny green sponge); I gave the second set to my friends, and the last set remains rarely used (with a purple sponge instead of pink). I bought my first set at the beginning of September 2016. The pink sponge has a few cracks, but that's with almost everyday use for about 5 months, and I haven't noticed that the cracks affect my makeup application at all. The pink one is definitely my favorite, and although I haven't used an authentic Beauty Blender, I have used the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge--I didn't like that one at all. It does absorb some foundation, but the end result is worth the minimal loss. It really helps sheer out thick/mousse-y foundations, but I also love the way it applies liquid foundations as well. The pink sponge is so soft and perfect to use for applying foundation; I even use it wet for powder. The green one is great for concealer and small spot application (it's also incredible soft). The purple sponge that I got in the last 2 sets is a little firmer than the pink one, and honestly, I just don't like it as much. The black sponge is even firmer than the purple one, and I don't use that one as much, but it's still nice to have. Overall, it's a great set of sponges, and they are definitely worth the price! I use them almost daily. However, a week after I started using my sponges, I started seeing tiny holes in the purple one. I'm still using them though because even with that I like them. I think they blend out makeup pretty ok for the most part.
