If you had 2 or more childen laying with the sandbox, I would purchase another bag. It will hold 100lbs total. **Q: Does the lid lock?** A: No it sits down on it but does not lock **Q: The product listings liss the size to be 61.7 x 47 x 13. Is this with the lid on or connected to the box** A: I think its with the lid extension. The box itself is a square. Its not designed for a child to get into and play but rather play on the outside with the sand. I hope that makes sense :p **Q: Would this work with kinetic sand?** A: I have Kinetic sand in mine because ours is in the house. The excavator doesn't really pick up the sand because the sand is too heavy.
