Tap water is a no-no, due yo taste, and carrying my daily water into work with me was impossible! So many bottles, a waste of money and plastic! Now I'm able to drink all the water I need and it tastes great!! The poor reviews seem unfair as they miss the point. -This bottle does greatly improve the taste of my tap water.-No, it doesnt taste any better than bottled water, but the point is to not buy and trash a million plastic bottles.-you dont have to sqeeze the life out of the bottle to drink, just a slight squeeze and then drink as you would from a normal straw. You dont have to turn the bottle up. Anyone who has a problem with this bottle must be one of those crazy over actors from as seen on tv adds. You know, the ones who have troubles using regular blankets vs. Snuggies.-Ive had no problems with leaks. The plastics feel cheap. Drinking from this bottle means drinking in the intensely plastic taste. I think it does the job for outdoor adventures or emergencies. But it wasn't worth the money for me since I bought it for daily use (to filter my water at work) and I really don't like drinking from it. Squeeze and suck. Not being derogatory here, but that is how it works. Fill it up with tap water, tilt at a 45 degree angle, squeeze the bottle, and suck the straw. It does make city water drinkable, and gives you a work out of sorts. I load ice first, then water. It is not insulated however. Oh, and leave the straw open and upright for a few seconds after you... suck, as it has a tendency to drip down the side of the bottle.
