One says 1oz for every 1,000 gallon and the other 2oz to treat 300 gallon of water. Why the difference?** A: I follow the instructions on the bottle which says 2oz per 300 gallons. Works fine for about one week or so. I generally dose my pond (approx 800 gallons) every 7-10 days. My water plants are growing well and my koi and ornamental goldfish (around 21) are all healthy, frisky, and feed well with this regimen. **Q: Having a problem with a white residue on my standing waterfall from a year of splashing. Turned the stone look painted fiberglass white. How to clean?** A: Defoamer won't clean off mineral deposits.
