It doesn't color my roots well. I can see my roots still grey even after same day wash. whats wrong** A: Trying to cover the roots is definitely a problem with this product. I find that using the tip of the applicator and applying it directly to the roots, where I part my hair And around my face line Is a big help. I do this almost daily and since it’s 1/4 inch of hair that I’m trying to cover I actually just leave it and I don’t rinse it out. I do this in the morning before I leave for work. It seems to take a continuous daily application to maintain root coverage. Lately I’ve been wondering if, after I wash hair, putting a little cider vinegar on the hair roots, ( this is suggested by some application methods) Then applying the Henna ,would help to better stain the hair And be longer lasting? Just a suggestion that I’ll try as soon as I can afford to purchase more. This is A very expensive product compared to 1–2 years ago! Otherwise I have not found a product that doesn’t irritate my entire face and scalp and has such an easy application with luxurious shine results. **Q: How long does the color last before needing a new application?** A: I have some greys. I love how well it covers the grey, but I have to leave it on for at least 1 1/2 hrs. After every shampoo some washes out, so that it gradually gets dull and faded. I find that it looks good for about 3 weeks. Then it needs a touch-up. **Q: I have quite a bit of natural Grey roots and have been using highlights anyone know if This will cover highlights?** A: You may require several applications to achieve the result you desire. I have made the switch to henna and my hair is doing better than ever. Henna is safe in the sense that it will not hurt you in any way. As far as getting the same results as Loreal that is different. The color may not be the same. Also, Henna is a rinse not a dye. For similar results to Loreal, such as evenness and how long the color lasts, switch to an organic dye. I switched to the organic dyes first. They can be just as drying as the chemicals. I then switched to henna because it leaves your hair soft.
